Danya Lagos

Welcome!

I am a sociologist and demographer conducting research on the relationship between social change, gender, and population dynamics.

I am currently working on a book titled Gender, Distributed: The Population Dynamics of the Transgender Tipping Point, under contract with the University of Chicago Press.

I am an assistant professor Department of Sociology at UC Berkeley. Prior to this, I earned my PhD in Sociology at the University of Chicago in 2019, and was an NICHD Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin’s Population Research Center from 2019-2020.
